Distinguished by its signature red and white awnings and tiffany lamps, TGI Fridays quickly became THE meeting place for single adults. In 1973 Carlson Companies acquired Fridays. At the time there were 12 restaurants in 9 states. Now there are over 600 restaurants in over 50 countries. We are still recognized by our stripes, memorabilia, and best in class food and drink served by a great staff. Friday's focuses on bringing the best of American culture to our guests by popularizing our specialty drinks and dished from all corners of the nation. It was our 665th store as well as the 12th in Maryland. Our store was revered as a new prototype, and several other stores have opened in accordance to our groundwork.
